Custom Settings allows Salesforce applications to store information and options that help the application run or don't normally need to be changed. For Message Sync, we have a number of custom settings that we track:
Current settings
- Location
This is the name of your Salesforce account. - Allow Default Value
Allows setting allows you to use the Message Default Value settings to set default values for specific fields. This is only needed for backwards compatibility with legacy field types in Signal Vine. - Authoritative System
Defines which system is the authority for bi-directional fields when the sync is first turned on. - Batch Job Sync Window
The length of time, in minutes, between syncing. The default is 10 minutes. - Duplicate Participant Check enabled
Reflects whether Check for Duplicate Records is checked. - Enable Full Log
Enables verbose logging. Verbose logging can dramatically increase storage and is only turned on when needed. - Enable Admin Tools
Enables the Administrative Tools tab in Message Sync Setup - Enable Message
Reflects whether Enable Message Sync has been checked. - Enable Trigger Creation
Allows the default trigger that looks for changes to your records to be disabled so that you can create your own trigger. If disabled, the sync will not function unless a new trigger is created. - Endpoint URL
The Signal Vine API URL. - Import Batch Size
Set the number of records in each batch for syncing jobs. The default is 50. - Import Participant Batch ID
The ID of the APEX sync job that manages field data. - Import With Errors
By default, the sync will continue importing when Message rejects an update to a record. Disabling this will cause all updates in a batch to fail if any of the records are rejected. - In Initial Sync
Whether or not Message Sync is still in the initial sync process. During initial sync, some options are disabled. - Last Imported On
The date and time that records were indexed between the two platforms. The next sync will only index records created or modified after this date and time. - Last Messages Sync DateTime
The date and time that messages were last synced. The next sync will only look for messages sent or received after this date and time. - Last Participants Sync DateTime
The date and time that contact records were last synced. The next sync will only look for changes after this date and time. - Last Programs Sync DateTime
The date and time that program and field information was last retrieved. This displays next to the Retrieve button in Field Mapping. - Last Sync DateTime
The last time the sync processes ran and completed. This displays as the last sync time in Message Sync Setup. - Participant Message Cron Id
The ID of the APEX sync job that manages messages. - Participant Message Cron Start
The date and time that messages had previously started importing. - Process In Batch For Import
Fields that are mapped 'From Message to Salesforce' are processed after fields mapped 'From Salesforce to Signal Vine' This setting adjusts that process to process them concurrently. This change makes the sync more resource-intensive and is not suitable for all Salesforce environments. - Reverse Boolean Value Fields
This setting allows you to specify Message fields where you want the boolean value to be reversed when syncing between the two platforms. - Sync Log Cleanup Days
This reflects the Sync Log Retention dropdown value selected.
