How do I opt a contact back in?

If a contact sends a message indicating they would like to start receiving messages again, you can manually opt the contact back in by following the steps below. Any admin can restart a contact, but counselors can only opt a contact back in if an admin has enabled that permission.

Contacts can also be opted back in in bulk. For more information on restarting contacts in bulk, click here.

Restart a Contact Individually

  1. Open the contact’s profile.

  2. In the Status section, locate the red X and Opted Out label.

  3. Click Set as opted in to the right of the status.

After restarting the contact:

  • A green checkmark appears, indicating the contact is now opted in and eligible to receive messages.

Contact who is opted OUT and cannot receive messages.

 

Contact who is opted IN and can receive messages.
