Customize Your Start / Stop / Help Keywords in Campaign Manager

All programs are required to have automated messages for when a contact texts STOP (to opt out), START (to opt back in), or HELP (to request assistance).

If you’re looking to have contacts text in to join your program, you can also create an opt-in flow using Auto Enroll. Learn more about that here.


How to Customize Your Keywords

  1. Log into Messages and navigate to the Campaigns tab.

  2. Select your program.

  3. Click the Settings tab.

  4. Choose the response you want to customize (Start, Stop, or Help).

  5. Update your alternate keywords and message as needed.

  6. Click Done to save your changes.

Start / Opt-In

Use these keywords to allow contacts to opt in or rejoin messaging:

start, start., start!, subscribe, opt in, optin, join, join., join!, sign up, yes start, im in, I’m in, add me, lets go, let’s go


Stop / Opt-Out

Use these keywords to allow contacts to unsubscribe from messages:

stop, stop., stop!, unsubscribe, unsubscribe., unsubscribe!, cancel, cancel., cancel!, end, end., end!, quit, quit., quit!, remove, opt out, optout, stop all, stop pls, stop please, leave me alone, stop texting, no more


Help

Use these keywords to trigger your help or support message:

help, help., help!, hlp, support, assist, assistance, idk what to do, confused, stuck, need help
